Quiet Wedding Fireworks at The Fig House

Emma, the bride, booked as a surprise for everyone. I think it worked 🙂

There is nothing quite like surprise fireworks is there! We were given some freedom to select the music from a suggested list and we went with OMI – Cheerleader & Calvin Harris ft. Rihanna – This Is What You Came For. They came together really well…

If we are given notice before hand we will work hard to keep the fireworks a secret from everyone for as long as we can. On this occasion we were able to do most of the work in the field whilst every one was busy eating, ideal! Then all we had to do is place the speakers and garden pyro at the last minute. Perfect!

Top 5 Tips on How to Choose the Right Music for a Fireworks Display

It can be hard to pick the right music for your firework display. So here are our Top 5 Tips on how to get the most out of your music selection:

  1. Consider the Mood: Think about the atmosphere you want to create. Are you aiming for a romantic and intimate vibe, or do you prefer something more upbeat and celebratory? Match the music to the mood of your event to set the tone for your quiet fireworks display.
  2. Put on a show: If you can find a piece of music that both means something to you and works well with fireworks then that is the perfect setup. But you should always pick a bit of music that is suitable for a firework display first and foremost. Save that slow sentimental song for the first dance!
  3. Syncopate with the Fireworks: Opt for music that complements the rhythm and tempo of a quiet firework display. Consider how the music will synchronise with the bursts of light in the sky, creating a harmonious and seamless spectacle that captivates the senses. Does the track fade out or build to a big finale? That is always a good way to tell if it’s the right song. If the people who wrote it had no clue how to end it, how will your firework display end with that music. It’s not so easy to fade out fireworks.
  4. Consider Your DJ/Band: What sort of music will your DJ/Band be playing? Will the fireworks be between a set the band is playing? Matching the mood of the music can help the party keep going and make sure everyone is ready to get back to dancing at the end of the display.
  5. Plan for Transitions: If you’re incorporating multiple songs into your quiet fireworks display, plan for smooth transitions between tracks. Consider the flow of the music and how each song builds upon the previous one, creating a cohesive and captivating auditory experience from start to finish. Harsh mixing of genres can create difficult to listen to clashes.
